38 Weeks

img_7784

How far along:  38 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  24 pounds- Most weight out of all three babes

Maternity clothes: Yes, living in my leggings and pregnancy t-shirts.

Stretch Marks: I might have a couple around my belly button. It is really sore and almost looks like it is bruised. I think i also have one on the side of my belly in between my two scars where I got my gull bladder removed.

Symptoms: Perioiral dermatitis (rash on my face, but getting better), peeing frequently, very tired, round ligament pain,  lower pelvic pain, some swelling in my hands and feet, and heart burn- No new labor symptoms

Best Moment: Feeling ready for baby to arrive

Miss Anything: Sitting comfortably, not having heart burn, not being tired all of the time, and sleeping on my stomach

Movement: Lots- Sometimes I feel like the baby is trying to escape.

Food cravings: Still loving anything with peanut butter in it.  I made baby ruth peanut butter bars and they are going to be gone in no time at all.  I told Travis our grocery bill will probably decrease after baby because I will hopefully not want to make dessert every week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, Yes, Yes- Belly has a little bit of a torpedo look

Labor Signs: Nothing going on, not even braxton hicks- The waiting game begins

Belly button in or out: half popped and half flat

Gender:  Here are the girls stats: Kenna: went into labor 4 days early had her 3 days early.  She was 6 lbs 1 ounce (tiny little peanut)   Emmy: went into labor 9 days early and had her 8 days early.  She was 6 lbs  12 ounces.  If I follow the same progress that means I could go into labor this weekend:)

So my guess: October 16th- BOY/ nooo GIRL??  7 lbs 2 ounces – I really have no idea what the gender is.   I think I am going to have to go with girl. It just seems that it is going to be a girl. We have a pretty cute girl name picked out and tons of girls clothes so we are ready for a little girl. Trav has had a boy named picked out forever and we have a couple of cute baby boy clothes.  I am pretty sure I will have no problem buying a couple more boy clothes if it ends up being a boy:)

Wedding ring on or off? Still on.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody-happy, then sad, then tired, then happy again, then impatient, then mad, then happy again. LOL oh the joys of being 38 weeks pregnant and your hormones are crazy.  A lot more emotional this week.

Baby’s Heart Rate: 124- WHAT? Last week 180 this week 124. Baby you are going to drive me crazy.  The doctor said the baby was probably just sleeping.

Looking forward to:  Relaxing this weekend, watching football, carving pumpkins with the girl, maybe a fish fry.

37 Weeks- Full Term

How far along:  37 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  23 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes, living in my leggings and pregnancy t-shirts.  Even some of my running t-shirts are too tight.

Stretch Marks: No, but I am not sure how much longer my belly can hold off.  My belly button looks like it has some light bruising by it.  When did you get stretch marks?   Did they just all come at once?

Symptoms: Perioiral dermatitis (rash on my face, but getting better), peeing frequently, very tired, round ligament pain,  lower pelvic pain, some swelling in my hands and feet, I am also so hot all of the time, heart burn. Holy heart burn. I feel like I get heart burn with everything I eat these days, the worst part is that it radiates to my back, so I have back heartburn. (If that is possible)

Best Moment: Hitting 37 weeks, I am technically full term.  Woot Woot. Hard to believe baby H could come at any time now.

Miss Anything: Sitting comfortably and not getting heart burn.

Movement: Lots- bigger movements these days

Food cravings: Still loving anything with peanut butter in it.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just eating too much food or too little of food.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, Yes, Yes- From the side I look smaller

Labor Signs: Nothing going on, not even braxton hicks

Belly button in or out: popped, but now it is starting to flatten out because it is so stretched.

Gender: Alight with less than 4 weeks to go, lets start making some guesses.  Here are the girls stats: Kenna: went into labor 4 days early had her 3 days early.  She was 6 lbs 1 ounce (tiny little peanut)   Emmy: went into labor 9 days early and had her 8 days early.  She was 6 lbs  12 ounces.

Still on.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody- I am pretty sure my patience is gone.   My poor girls and husband.

Baby’s Heart Rate: Today I had my 37 week check up and the little  babes heart rate was 180?? YIKES. so They hooked me up to the monitor for 20 minutes to make sure everything was okay.  Thankfully the baby calmed down and we just caught it during an active phase.  On average the doctor said the baby’s base heart rate is right around 150.

Looking forward to:  Getting more things organized, camping with our friends, another week closer to meeting our baby and becoming a family of 5!

On Friday we all went to our town’s homecoming game. It was a beautiful night, but both girls were super tired so we only made it until half time.  When Emmy is tired she is a train wreck.  She runs away from me like a wild woman and kicks and cries when I pick her up.  Fleeing at a football game at night with 100 kids running around is not my cup of tea, and her kicking and crying while I hold her is a lot of work for this pregnant mama.  So we ended up leaving early.

On Saturday we had my nephews birthday party and then watched the Badgers play football.  Kenna loves parties, people, family events, etc.  She is just like me, it is crazy.  The girls had a blast painting pumpkins, playing with their cousins, and eating ice cream and cake.

Sunday we went to church, grocery shopping, and then to my sister’s work, where they were putting on a 5k for breast cancer. The girls and I walked in the race with my family.  It was so cute at the beginning of the race we were all walking and Kenna just took of sprinting. I think I might have a little runner on my hands.  Fingers crossed:)

I had my 37 week doctor appointment today. My group B strep test came back negative so now I don’t have to worry about that:) With Emmy my Group B strep test came back positive so I had to make sure I was at the hospital 4 hours before I had the baby so I could get Antibiotics. I am not speedy quick at having babies so that was no problem:)   The doctor also checked my cervix.  I am dilated 1.5 cm and 50% effaced. FOLKS we are making progress.

After today’s appointment I decided that I should probably pack my hospital bag and the girl’s bag.  As I was hooked up to the monitors I was like what if they end up keeping me here, I have nothing packed and would have to rely on Travis to pack all of my stuff. Which is OKAY, but not ideal.  It would be very hard to explain to him the exact clothes that I want. For example, I want  my black Nike yoga pants, not my black GapFit yoga pants because those are too tight in the waist, even though they look identical. Or that I want my gray sports bra, not the red, blue, or green one.   Having a baby is a lot of work and I want to make sure I have the most comfortable and soft clothes.

36 Weeks- 9 Months Pregnant

img_7513

How far along:  36 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  23 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes, not a fan of most clothes these days lol. Towards the end of pregnancy everything seems uncomfortable to me.

Stretch Marks: I think my belly is bigger this time and it amazes me that it keeps stretching.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that the stretch marks continue to stay away.

Symptoms: Perioiral dermatitis (rash on my face, but getting better), peeing frequently, very tired, round ligament pain,  lower pelvic cramping, some swelling in my hands and feet, I am also so hot all of the time. I feel like I am a furnace.

Best Moment: Getting more stuff ready for baby. We are almost completely ready. Bottles, pumping parts, baby blankets, outfits, swing covers are all washed and ready to go.   I am thinking about bringing the swing down to the living room so the girls can start to get used it and I can try to convince Emmy that the swing is not for her and it is for the baby.   The little swings at the church nursery are her favorite things to play in.  She likes to crawl in them and swing backwards in them:/ That girl I tell ya.

Miss Anything: Sitting comfortably and my belly not getting in the way.

Movement: Lots

Food cravings: I am pretty sure I could live off of peanutbutter energy balls. Ohh man they are so good. I go through a batch a week. I love to eat them like cereal in a bowl with some milk. mmm mmmm good.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just eating too much food or to little of food. Getting a little motion sickness in the car again.

Have you started to show yet? Yes- Sticking right out front and bigger than will the other girls.   Sooo maybe that means the baby will come sooner than later.  A girl can hope right;)

Labor Signs: I had some lower pelvic cramping, but nothing exciting. Which is okay. Once I hit 37 weeks I am all game for labor.

Belly button in or out: Kind of popped.  It is popped, but not sticking straight out yet.

So my guess: October 16th- BOY/ nooo GIRL??  7 lbs 2 ounces – I really have no idea what the gender is.   I think I am going to have to go with girl. It just seems that it is going to be a girl.

What do you guys think???

Wedding ring on or off? Still on.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody- I am pretty sure my patience is gone.   My poor kids and husband.

Baby’s Heart Rate: 160 again

Looking forward to:  Family birthday party, my sisters work puts on a 5k for breast cancer,  weekly doctor appointments, hair appointment, and sleeping in:)

On Friday Trav and I were going to relax and watch a movie, but I didn’t feel the best and went to bed at 8:30.  I am loads of fun right now.  Saturday Trav was gone all day at a golf scramble so the girls and I went to my moms to hang out and checked out a new apple orchard. The girls and I picked some apples, or I should say I picked some apples and the girls ate some apples.  I am super excited to make apple crisp with Kenna this week. Emmy just tries to throw things off the counter when she helps so Kenna and I try to keep her distracted with toys and snacks while we bake;)

Sunday we went to church, grocery shopping, had lunch at my dad and step-moms, watched football, and went to a friend’s surprise 30th birthday party. By the end of the day we were all tired and a little crabby.

I had my 36 week doctor appointment today. My doctor did the group B strep test and also checked my cervix.  I am dilated 1 cm and 30% effaced.  With Kenna I was nothing at this point and with Emmy I was 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced.  So we will see:) Otherwise everything looked good. Now I start going to the doctor every week and at 37 weeks the countdown to baby will be on:) !!!!
