Essential Oils

Essential Oils were a game changer for our family, and I wanted to share with you why I love them & how we use them in our home.

I have been using the oils for a little over 4 years and I love them.  Essential oils have helped me through two bouts of Postpartum depression anxiety ocd after Kenna and Jovie, and helped me regain who I am and so much more.  Lets go back to the beginning of where it all started.   I started using essential oils after I had Kenna because I got really bad postpartum depression anxiety ocd. Which was absolutely awful. You can go back read through and read more about my first bout with it with Kenna here.  On top of that I kept catching every illness and struggled with side effects from medication.  I had low energy and was tired all the time. I was honestly willing to try anything to help me feel better.  My friend who is a chiropractor recommended essential oils.  At the time I knew nothing about essential oils and was hesitate on using them. I didn’t know how to use them and thought I would have to research everything.  A month later I was desperate and dove in and bought the starter kit and never turned back.   I started to have more energy and feel better.  Young Living Essential oils changed my life and now we use them for everything. I originally got them to help support my hormones and ended up using them for my kids, cleaning, my husband, and just about everything in our household.    I absolutely love my oils and even started using them on Emmy and Jovie when they were only two weeks old to help support their digestive systems.  They have helped our family gratefully and continue to be our go to products to keep us healthy and feeling great.

How I got started-I decided to order my essential oil starter kit with Young Living (all of the most commonly used (oils + a diffuser) after doing a lot of research they had the best quality of oils and was the only oil company with a seed to seal guarantee! I still believe there is a time and a place for modern medicine, and this is not a substitute for that.  I do like that we have an option to try the natural route for many things in our life.

Here are just some of the ways I love to use them everyday:  supporting my hormones with Joy, Valor, Harmony, White Angelica, and Orange, supporting our immune systems with Thieves oil, or promoting relaxation & a good night’s sleep using Lavender oil. I love my easy to make dishwasher detergent or one of my many homemade oil rollerballs for teething discomfort, immune support, happy feelings, and so much more. I should also mention that I used the resource Gentle Babies, which is a great reference for using oils while pregnant, nursing or around babies, since there are a few oils that you should use with caution or dilute.

I hope you will dive in with me & I know it will be a game changer for you as well<3  I share in hopes of helping others.  Essential oils gave me hope in some of the hardest days of my life.  I truly believe God gave me Postpartum Depression so that I could help others and educate people on how to live a healthy lifestyle and that there are natural options out there.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. ” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
