WHAT A WEEK. It was a super long emotional stressful week. The beginning of the week was spent getting furniture and decorations ready to stage Trav’s flip house.  The girls and I went shopping everyday which you think would be sooo much fun, but not with a tired 3-year-old and a crazy 1 1/2-year-old. It is very hard to focus with a toddler laying on the ground in the middle of the store, while the other one is trying to push the cart away. lol. To say the least it was a little stressful.  Then in the afternoons we spent our time decorating Trav’s house, went out to eat with his brother, went to a legion baseball game, and one of Trav’s softball games.

Trav’s brother came home from Europe where he  just finished playing basketball and getting his masters degree. So we met up with him and to go out to eat and hear about his adventures.

Then my grandma  unexpectedly passed away during the week. Wufta, that took a toll on me. I can’t begin to describe my grandma, she was absolutely amazing. A true saint. She always wanted to go out of her way to do nice things for others.  She was truly a godly woman. Even though she was old it is still hard to believe she is gone. She had been such a big part of my family’s life. I have so many wonderful memories about her and hope that I can be even a quarter of the woman she was.

So, with everything aside by the end of the week we finally got Trav’s house done and ready to go. I pray now that we get an offer soon.

With the house done we packed up our bags on Friday and headed out-of-town. One of Trav’s baseball players got selected to play in the all-Star tournament.  The location of the tournament was great because it was right around the area of where a bunch of my college roommates lived.  So very last-minute we were able to stay with them.  It was so nice that we got to visit and catch up. They are such wonderful people and I miss them so much. I wish that we lived closer so we could hang out more, go on walks, let our kids play together, and just visit and chat over coffee or lunch.  From there we packed up and headed to Trav’s annual family golf trip.  Trav and his brothers got in two rounds of golf on Saturday and Sunday before we had to cut the trip short to head back home for my grandmas wake and funeral. So on Sunday after Trav golfed we hopped in the van for another four-hour drive and drove straight to my grandma’s wake.

It was really nice to see all of my family and honor a great woman.  Today was spent grocery shopping, unpacking, cleaning, and going to my grandma’s funeral.  I haven’t even had time to think about pregnancy this week and am just so thankful that everything is going well.  Heaven got another angel today and we all got a guardian angel looking down on us.  Be humble and kind folks; life should be about joy, laughter, love, God, family, and friends. Try to focus on the good and support the good and helps those that are in need and feeling down.   We are here to serve the Lord and love others like he has loved us.
