This last week was my sister’s 27th birthday. The girls and I did a little shopping to try to find her a bday present and had no luck. It is getting harder to shop with Kenna and Emmy, because Emmy does not enjoy riding in the cart anymore, which means I have to carry her or let her run wild. If I set her down she runs off and knocks things off the shelf. We went to Walgreen’s and she thought it was great to knock of all of the little bottles of lotion over like dominoes. Kenna would follow her and try to pick them up as quick as Emmy would knock them down.
On Wednesday, Kenna had a dentist appointment. Emmy and I watched her get her teeth cleaned and checked. I can’t believe how big she is getting. I wish the world would slow down and she could be my baby girl forever. After the dentist we headed to my cousins little girl’s birthday party. It was great to visit and watch the kids play.
Thursday we took a trip to the library because it was baseball day. The librarian read baseball books and some of the baseball players were there to sign autographs. Kenna just loves the baseball boys because my husband coaches baseball. After the library we stopped by my husband’s house that he is flipping to get some ideas for decorating. We are going to stage a couple of the rooms to give the buyer an idea of how cute the house can be.
After a busy week we headed up to the cabin to relax. We did some swimming, golfing, and had a bonfire. It was a lot of fun. I wish I could say that we caught up on our sleep, but that is a negative. Emmy woke up at 2:00 a.m. and was up for the rest of the night into the next day. She would fall asleep and wake up every 5 to 10 minutes. We are pretty sure her teeth were bothering her, but nothing would comfort her. She was a crabby apple the whole weekend.
On Sunday, we went to meet my dad, stepmom, sister, her boyfriend, and his daughter for Father’s day. We went out to eat, went to a deer park, and got ice cream. I love spending time with my family and it was a great Father’s Day. Just like that another week flew by. This post is even late because we have had a lot going on this last week, which I will update in my next post. Here is my baby bump:) On we go to 23 weeks.
How far along: 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 9 pounds
Maternity clothes: Yes. They are very comfortable.
Stretch Marks: I just discovered I have a ton of white stretch marks on my butt cheeks. lol. My butt must grow fast during pregnancy.
Symptoms: Perioiral dermatitis (rash on my face), car sick, Itchy Palms, itchy skin – As for my face rash, people comment to me daily about it. I always get, “ooo looks like you have been out in the sun too long” or “That looks like that is a really bad sun burn.” One day I had 3 people make a comment. Now, I just agree and say Ya I just love the sun. Trav and I walk away laughing and joke about it, but it will sure be nice when it goes away.
Best Moment: Spending time at the cabin and Father’s Day
Miss Anything: Having more energy, drinking more caffeine, being more patient
Movement: Yes, now I can even feel them during the day sometimes:)
Food cravings: I never have any real cravings, just food that sounds really good to me. So this week it has been Chipotle, DQ Cake, Spicy Munchies (a mix of different kind of chips and pretzels that are spicy:), and dessert after every meal. Good thing I am so tired otherwise our kitchen would be a filled with a ton of pinterest recipes.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Car Rides
Have you started to show yet? Yes, I look very pregnant in my swimming suit
Labor Signs: zero
Belly button in or out: In, but now the top is starting to pop out.
Gender: no clue-still searching for a baby girl name! Wufta, name searching is stressful. Trav and I are both just at a lost for a girl’s name.
Wedding ring on or off? Still on.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I am crabby. I have zero patience this week. I think my crankiness is directly correlated to my lack of sleep. It has been a super busy, stressful, emotional week.
Baby’s Heart Rate: 155 at this last appointment
Looking forward to: Seeing my college roommates and my friends next week. Finding time to sleep now that Trav’s flip house is done.
